Black Cotton Shirt and Patiala - An ethnic mix

This week has been a productive week for me. I had been a good girl at blogging...( pat myself  :D  ) , I juggled my usual mommy and wifey role, adding a workout schedule too. And I am going steady at it. And this my third post this week, that's awesome, considering how I could do only one post per week. I see that prioritizing our work schedule, rather than jab over phone, or waste time over idle browsing ( usual Fb browsing..hmmm), knowing who's where? and doing what?..I guess that's why I had liked FB over Orkut. It doesn't matter that you don't see the red's on, you still have something new/interesting/funny/bitchy/gross to read. Ain't we all got this in us.. sure we do. But cut that CRAP, and invest in productive things, that could help you out in developing yourself. I mean it, devote time to revivify yourself  in ways, that could lead you to a better human, and Girl....you know..the next thing you will be spreading your wonderful aura around.
I for instance seem to let go some browsing time for workouts, and every time I do it right, I feel so positive, rather than reading success stories on the net and crying over why I wasted so much of my  time.
Solution ----->
Go...and just do it[PERIOD] You know the old adage.....it's cliched yet nevertheless old..."Better late than never"
So try this small change...and it would make loads of difference.
Here is my outfit, which i often love to wear...My lovely Patiala bottoms..and a shirt/blouse to match it. Patiala bottoms has been a craze for me since my Post-graduation. I so once happened to see this beautiful kashmiri girl...quite petite, yet so elegant in her patiala,I so fell in love with patiala bottoms then on.
I then went on to just get Patialas stitched for myself, and it was a struggle to find a suitable tailor for it..to be perfected.. So here it is. For those who wonder what a Patiala is, or don't have one...you could go in for the Afghan bottoms or Harem Pants, they would look slightly different though, yet would make a good substitute.

White shirt and Blue Jeggings

Hello my lovely lovely blog readers. Ever since I hit the 5000 view mark, (you can read about it here ) I am on cloud 9 and the other good thing that happened was my DSLR got fixed. Yipeeeee yay. I so so missed my camera these days. I don't know when I landed up being photo crazy, nowadays I am so passionate about photography, and of all, I seem to have a special interest in living things, than non living....oh well! the topic is so vast, I am gonna discuss it sometime later on.
I am also pursuing on a weight loss journey , which in fact , is something i have been pursuing ever since my son was born :P ....almost 5 years now, crazy dieting, unreal target dates and multiple reasons had attributed to failed attempts. I might start a section here, purely dedicated to my weight loss journey sometime in future.
Photography, fashion and health&weight loss are different topics that can have a  dedicated  blog, but I might not just as of now think of starting another blog and end up making nothing out of both. Coz I found blogging is just as serious as any other aspect we take in life, and I want to continue with this site of mine to the next level, so as and when I go, I might add my other areas of interest too.You may wonder why??? Well! Aren't we made up of all this, I am just not all about fashion blogging. I had passion for dance,art,make-up ....the list is quite a few, which I turned on to a dormant mode. Hey, I am sure to leash my interests over here soon
Now having said so much..let me post few pics of OOTD, and this time on....I bet you don't have to worry about the blurriness. :D

5000 views and going steady

I am so jubilant today, I had reached the 5000 view mark today. I began this blog in 2009 out of boredom, and i gave up after 2 posts, just bcoz I didn't have the enthusiasm to pursue blogging. And it was only last year end..to be precise 31st of December 2012, I Took a resolution (read decision, i don't follow resolutions... :P) to pursue blogging with interest. And though at times wanted to give up due to various reasons...i just kept pushing, and here i am....with a 5000 view mark. I feel happy..to have started with humble beginnings of 150 views in December to this in 10 months.
I must make a special mention to the special people who have motivated me to stay committed, fellow bloggers whose posts and kind words have put me here today.
Thank you all....from the bottom of my heart...

This is my stats for the week.... worldwide.
On this occasion I post my outfit for a day out to Al Mamzar beach &park. I just wore a ruffled skirt, the same skirt which I had paired  here  with a simple black tee and a lace cardigan. It's a full on black attire once again, oh well...blame it on my penchant for the colour black.
The pics are not of a great quality to judge my dress details, and I hadn't intended to post these until I got my DSLR fixed, but the view count made me post it.

Oh !!! Well my lovely sea shell shaped bracelet fell into the water as I tried swinging a stone into the water... :(  My bad, didn't think of it...along with the stone flew my bracelet too....waaah !!!!

"Thank you for following my blog...my lovely readers. You guys made my day :)"

White Anarkali for Onam

It's been a week since Onam, and for the international readers who wonder what "Onam" is...it's a festival celebrated by God's Own Country- "Kerala"...rather it's a state in southern India. When many festivals are celebrated by either one or two of the zones of India, this is one festival solely celebrated by kerala, through whole of India. I am not getting into the significance of the festival , but for those who would like to know, check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onam

I wore a beautiful white Anarkali suit for the day. I always have a passion for Anarkalis..especialy when I was pregnant, nothing seemed to flatter my bump...like the Anarkalis. So I have a collection of them, till date. And this time I accumulated as many as I could on my visit back home. And best of all were the trinkets that you could get for a steal, and India being the colourful land of blings, you sure could lay your hands on many awesome pieces. This post i bring you my Outfit for the festival.

I just applied a light make with heavy khol eyes and purplish pink undertones to lips

I am happy to bring another blog post this week. As you all look forward to enjoying your weekend , I bring to you my OOTD during my visit to The Dolphinarium. The show was an amazing 40 minutes, with the dolphins stealing the show every second, though there were seals initially.
Since it's still pretty hot over here, I decided to pair my skinny jeans with a leopard print sleeveless top.

Partying at Hard Rock Cafe in Black

As I sip on my Green Apple Green tea...whoa....that's funny..., I wonder what to put in today. I was on a wide mood swing, thanks to our feminine days, we might just end up being a female zombie, hehe, with numerous migraines et all. Anyways everybody deals with PMS and I was just wondering what ya'll do to help ease it out. I for certain , feel workouts , though it sounds cliched ought to be a an all round solution to many of our issues.

So last week I was taken out on a surprise dine out...well , er that's what my hubby said, and I was jubilant when I found out it was "Hard Rock Cafe", the only thing I was disappointed was that since it was a surprise I didn't dress apt...I wore full black...black pants, black blouse and a black blazer, Now don't get the idea that i was all goth...nope I looked more of a business person than a party chic...
The ambiance was extremely chill. The music was great and the singers did justice to all the tough songs....that of Aerosmith was mind blowing.
I am sure to visit this place again....I simply loved it....

They sang awesome

Post Vacation

I was on a vacation, for over a month.I missed blogging a lot. But back in India I had lot of travelling to do, and being on the go, I never had the energy to blog. I loved being with my family after two long years....but then I was also surprised at how so much changes as time passes by.The economy and people. But thank god we always have our dear parents and siblings to cheer us up no matter however emotional mess up we are :D.
I am so blessed to have a great family.
I was also finding it dehydrating to travelling in humid climate.....and yet I loved every bit of the adventurous trips I made.
The only bad thing I have now is I have my lovable DSLR rendered useless, and my future blog posts might not be as good in quality but I will try to have mobile camera pics uploaded.
I have lots of outfits to showcase and esp jewellery , so shall roll em out sooner. For now, all I have for this blog post, are some random pics I took while travelling...not exactly an outfit post..But here they are
